The other day, working with Velcro, I found myself vexed as usual by the difficult time I was having removing the clear plastic backing.
Repeated attempts to insert my right thumbnail between the Velcro and the backing yielded nothing but frustration.
Then the proverbial light bulb came on in my pea brain: what if I filed my nail edge such that it was thinner and smoother and sharper: would that enhance its backing removal capability?
Yes — it did!
