Xfinity FTW?


 






















Just in, an email from Xfinity with all sorts of information about my WiFi-connected devices (above), data usage (below), 























and a way to enhance — free, the way we like it! — my WiFi connection (below).























When I read "... we'll ship it to your home with quick and easy activation instructions..." I knew I wouldn't bite.

Because with 100% certainty I wouldn't be able to get the new WiFi Gateway working by myself, and I'd have to then schedule an appointment for a technician to come by and set it up properly.

Last time I inquired it was $200 for a home visit and that was years ago.

Besides which, if I tried to set it up myself and predictably failed, I'd have disabled my perfectly fine internet connection and be without WiFi until the tech guy came by.

No can do: I've got a blog to run!
