This spectacular psychedelic-looking frog was discovered in 2006 in the remote highlands of Suriname, some 80 miles southeast of Paramaribo, the capitol of the South American country.
For those who are color-blind, I note that the frog has distinctive irregular fluorescent purple loops on a background of aubergine-colored skin.
