That happened to me this morning as I was walking around the house doing something close to nothing (but different than the day before).
I felt a sharp pain in the bottom of my foot and thought I must've stepped on a splinter but no! — it was a wasp, crawling along on the floor as if nothing had happened.
How many people do you know who — instead of immediately killing the wasp — would've done what I did, namely nudge it along the floor and usher it out the nearby door without hurting it, before turning to their sting site?
Prolly not too many....
But I digress.
I immediately went to my medicine cabinet where I keep a bottle of Adolph's Meat Tenderizer.
I made a paste with it by first pouring some in my hand and then spitting in it, after which I applied the paste to my sting site.
Instant pain relief, going from a strong burning sensation to a mild awareness of the site.
You can too!
Two things:
1) I also keep a bottle in my car
2) Adolph's contains the plant protein enzymes papain and bromelain which break peptide bonds in muscle proteins and connective tissue, impairing meat's structural integrity and making it more tender. These protease enzymes can digest protein components of venoms, lowering their activity.
Wait a sec — what's that song I'm hearing?
Constant readers will twig in a yoctosecond.
