antares I remember when the US currency was backed by gold, an ounce of gold was $35, and prices staid stable from year to year.
Then Nixon change the dollar to fiat currency with no backing in reality. It has been a downhill slide since. Today an ounce of gold is $4,846.80 according to Ampex. Is this any way to run a railroad?
