I'm not suprised that it works. I'm just surprised at how many people hadn't figured it out. A fork is one way to do it. So, some of us found out long long ago, is the awl blade on a Swiss Army knife, or depending on your youthful pursuits, a Boy Scout knife. But yeah, a fork works great.
