What a book!
It was published in 1995; I don't know where I learned of it but it turned out to be so compelling I had to forcibly tear myself away after finishing the first third in one sitting.
I'd never heard of its author, Joseph R. Garber, before happening on it.
This superb thriller grabbed me from the get-go.
Garber wrote three other novels before dying of a heart attack in 2005 at 61; I'm looking forward to reading them.
