Let's cut to the chase: Do you need to watch Season 1 first?
Long answer short: No, but....
If you know the show's premise — that we live in an infinite multiverse that has an access point — you're good to go.
I loved Season 1 (9 episodes); this 10-episode sequel looks to be as good or better, based on having watched the first two last night.
I've been thinking about multiverses and simulations and their ilk since I was in college, so to finally find a serious treatment of them after all these decades is wonderful.
